During the operation of the Nelson Tasman Sustainable Tourism Charter, numerous resources were developed to assist tourism businesses improve their sustainable business performance.  These resources were developed and refined by both the Sustainable Tourism Assessor and the Charter members themselves.

You are welcome to use these resources to assist the sustainable development of your business or to point you in the direction of other sources of support.  

• Taking action on sustainability – a list of suggested actions to implement organised by topic area, with associated web links
• High Level Assessment – the first stage in the Charter process which helps provide a ‘sustainability snapshot’ of your business
• Sustainable Business Practices Checklist – a subset of the HLA which can be used to monitor sustainability performance over time
• Action Plan Template – a tool to help you plan and implement sustainable business practices according to timeframe and responsibility
• Monitoring Template – an Excel spreadsheet which can help you record and monitor in areas such as electricity, water, fuel, gas and waste
• Waste Audit Template – a tool to assist in the identification of waste streams and how to improve waste management
